Let’s make this happen, with the combined power of all of us! As I saw this come by I also started thinking about what should Battlefront 3 include to meet expectations and go beyond what came before? Here are the top five must-haves that I believe would make a new entry truly shine.
1. No Loot Boxes — Ever Again
When Battlefront II launched in 2017, it was heavily criticized for its loot box system. Essential gameplay elements—like hero characters and power boosts—were locked behind random chance purchases. The backlash was immediate and intense, forcing EA to completely remove paid loot boxes from the game after release.
Fans won’t forget this. In 2025, players want a fair system that doesn’t reward spending over skill. Instead of loot boxes, the new game could adopt a transparent battle pass system or let players earn cosmetics through gameplay. Games like Apex Legends and Fortnite already use clear, fair progression systems. Battlefront 3 should learn from them. Players should always feel like their progress is earned, not bought.
2. Full Next-Gen Graphics & Power
With the full power of PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X, and high-end PCs, Battlefront 3 has the chance to deliver a visually stunning and technically advanced experience. Think huge 64-player battles on planets like Mustafar, Naboo, and Endor—rendered in 4K resolution, with ray-traced lighting and zero load times.
Imagine flying a TIE fighter through a cloud of debris during a space battle, dodging lasers in real-time. Or leading a squad through smoke and ash on a battlefield with destructible terrain. These are not just visual upgrades. They’re tools for immersion. Modern tech can make players feel like they’re actually inside the Star Wars universe—and that’s the next level Battlefront needs to hit.
3. Expanded Roster With Spin-Off Characters
The Star Wars universe has grown far beyond the original and sequel trilogies. Now, fans want a game that reflects that. Battlefront 3 should include not just the core heroes and villains, but also characters from spin-offs and series like The Clone Wars, The Mandalorian, Rebels, and Ahsoka.
Imagine charging into battle as Ahsoka Tano, using dual lightsabers and agile Force attacks. Or playing as Din Djarin, deploying gadgets like the whistling birds. Paid downloadable content (DLC) is a standard part of modern games—but how it’s handled matters. In Battlefront 3, players want a level playing field. That means no paywalls for essential content like maps, modes, or characters.
