The Force has taken over Fortnite in its most ambitious crossover yet. From May 2 to June 7, 2025, the island transforms into a Star Wars battleground. This season, titled Galactic Battle, brings new locations, characters, weapons, and even an exclusive Star Wars series premiere inside the game. We already discussed if the new Fortnite Season could be Battlefront 3 in disguise, but let’s now deep digger in what this new season includes!
1. Explore Iconic Star Wars Locations
The map now features several Star Wars-themed areas:
- First Order Base
- Resistance Base
- Vader Samurai’s Solitude
- Enclave Outpost
Each location offers unique challenges, hidden loot, and immersive environments inspired by the Star Wars universe. There are also a lot of cool easter eggs, for example the one via the fallen AT-AT in the snow. Try to find them all.
2. Wield Legendary Star Wars Weapons
Classic Fortnite weapons are out and will be for the whole season! This season, players can use:
- Lightsabers with abilities like Force Push and Saber Throw
- Blasters such as the E-11, F-11, and A280-ECE
- Thermal Imploders for explosive damage
But there is way more! Train with holograms of Rey and Palpatine to master these weapons.
3. Pilot Iconic Star Wars Vehicles
Take to the skies in:
- X-Wings
- TIE Fighters
- AT-ATs
- Sandcrawlers
These vehicles add a new dimension to battles, allowing for aerial combat and strategic movement across the map. They are still a little bit slow and go down easily, so hopefully this will be nerved in the nearby future.
4. Unlock New Star Wars Skins
The Battle Pass includes characters like:
- Poe Dameron
- Wookiee Team Leader
- Emperor Palpatine
- General Grievous (available later in the season!)
- Darth Jar Jar
- Mace Windu
- Captain Phasma
- Customizable Mandalorian
These skins let you as player embody your favorite Star Wars heroes and villains. There is only some controversy surrounding Darth Vader, as he will not be available this time (it seems).
5. Watch ‘Star Wars: Tales of the Underworld’ First in Fortnite
On May 2, Fortnite hosted the exclusive premiere of the first two episodes of Star Wars: Tales of the Underworld on the Watch Party Island. This six-part animated series focuses on Asajj Ventress and Cad Bane, exploring the galaxy’s criminal underworld. The full series became available on Disney+ on May 4 – aka STAR WARS DAY!! YEAH!
6. Upcoming Events and Content
Mark your calendars for these upcoming events:
- May 22: Mandalorians join the battle, bringing new characters and weapons.
- May 29: Star Destroyer Bombardment event.
- June 7: Season finale event, “Death Star Sabotage.”
7. Get the First Order Stormtrooper Skin for Free
Players can obtain the First Order Stormtrooper skin at no cost by linking their Epic Games account with a MyDisney account. This promotion is valid until August 31, 2025. Give it a try! I had to try multiple times but eventually made it work as I logged into Epic with my Switch account.
